THE URBAN AMBIGUITY – SMART & SOBER

THE URBAN AMBIGUITY – SMART & SOBER

What happens when you ask your uncle and cousin to come up with a cool headline for these photographs?  First you will have a lot to laugh about and second you can watch them philosophize for minutes. The result: The urban ambiguity – smart & sober. Pretty cool huh? Well, they even thought about starting a firm specialized in creating headlines haha.

So, back to these photographs which I can finally share with you. We took them on the day of my big Gucci Bloom campaign photoshoot for which I selected a couple of floral dresses in order to complement the message of the new Gucci Bloom fragrance. I really fell in love with this floral ombre dress, but it wasn’t suitable for the campaign shoot. So, on our way to the restaurant as we were super hungry and exhausted, we quickly stopped at an industrial area in Dessau to take these outfits pics in like 10 minutes. But they turned out soooo good and are probably my favorite pictures of 2017.

Speaking of which. 2017 is almost over and tomorrow is Christmas Eve. This came way to quickly. I am currently at my relatives and will travel to my hometown and am really looking forward to see all my friends & family again. Happy Holidays. x Gitta

ABOUT 2017 AND A MAJOR LIFE DECISION

ABOUT 2017 AND A MAJOR LIFE DECISION

Gazing on the calendar today. And there it is. In cold print: 03 December 2017. I am asking myself what has happened from January to November and why 2017 is already expiring. By the time I am getting older, I just want to press pause at some point as the years seem rushing by faster and faster. Do you feel me? I made 2017 a year of changes. And I mean a lot of changes. But what would life be without change? Right. Boring!

I guess, I made on of the most important decisions in my life this year. So, if you follow me on my Instagram already or have read some of my articles, you may or may not know that I also work for tv/film productions. Preferably in front of the camera. And that is actually something I wanted to do as long as I can think of. And even though, I worked in many other jobs before, most importantly to make ends meet, I never lost sight of myvgoal. But I kind of got caught in a vicious circle, since I had an obligation towards my work as an employee.

At the end, I only saw myself working for others but myself. And this made me very dissatisfied. This year I made the decision: NOW OR NEVER! I am currently pursuing acting full-time and I couldn’t be happier. I am finally doing what I love. Even though I am still at the beginning and working my way through the bizz. But these past couple of months have been so refreshing, energizing and rewarding that I am so excited about what is to come. So never loose sight of your goal and work for it! CHECK IT OUT

CHECK IT OUT

In collaboration with Esprit / Anzeige –

Checked shirts definitely are timeless fashion classics and shouldn’t be missed in anybody’s closet. I already own a couple of them as they are one of my favourite pieces to wear. So this oversized checked shirt from Esprit was love at first sight. What I like about this one, as the name already says it, is the oversized loose fit and the sportswear print on the back. Since it is a long blouse you can perfectly wear it as a dress with some leggings too. And there are so many more ways to wear a checked shirt. You can tuck it around your hip or wear it with another shirt underneath. Like I said – it is a must have.

Since I discovered my love for two-piece combinations there was one, ok actually two things missing in my wardrobe: the classic suit. And one thing is for sure it ain’t my last one and here is why:

  1. You always look dressed – no matter how weird the pieces are. It is like a uniform.
  2. You can always wear them apart, so with buying only two pieces you created a million other looks.
  3. You gotta love suits for reason no.1 and no.2.

As I am always longing for the stylistic inconsistency I added a sporty shirt and some edgy boots. On top of that I had to wear my latest obsession: these super cool coloured lens aviators from Urban Outfitters.

SUMMER VIBES

SUMMER VIBES

Happy Easter everyone! And if you are – like me – not at Coachella than I hope you still have a great time with your family and friends. To be honest, I wouldn’t mind being in my beloved California right now to attend the festival at least once. But at least there was a hint of summer last weekend when I was able to relax for the first time in weeks. As you might know this year has been full of changes. First of I started a new one in February. Then I moved into my new apartment. As much as I welcomed these (necessary) changes they have been quiet exhausting. So this sunny weekend and those summer vibes was exactly what I needed. I met up with Christina and we strolled along the Spree and sat down for a while to soak in every sunbeam.

For the first time in months I was able to wear a shirt only. Styled it with a mom jeans from H&M which I happen to wear on repeat. I just recently discover this mom jeans trend, since I always thought that they wouldn’t suit me. But with heels and free ankles I really like it. Combined it with my orange DKNY statement bag and and vintage belt from my mum. What do you think of this look?
